Environment

St. Armands Key is a small island in an environmentally sensitive area.  We are included in the City's Coastal Islands Overlay District (click link).  We share our surrounding waters with dolphins and manatee.  We watch the mullet fish leap from the water and the pelicans who dive in after them.  We enjoy being visited by the graceful great egret and blue heron.  Protecting the environment is important to our residents for the health of our wildlife and so that we can continue to live here ourselves in health and safety.
